ASQ Unemployed or Underemployed Members

Any ASQ member who is unemployed or underemployed is eligible to receive a 50% discount on any course offered in the Fall of 2010 and the Spring of 2011. Check out the Education Page page for more details.

Volunteering

Getting started is easy, and you can earn RU’s by getting involved! Simply send an email with your contact information and the committees/areas in which you are interested (see below) to volunteer@asqprinceton.org mailbox.

We’ll contact you and work out the best way for you to become involved given your interests and time constraints. Whether you want to get involved a lot or a little, we’re confident we can accommodate you, so please contact us and take advantage of this rewarding experience.

Program Committee:

  • Identify and select topics and speakers for the Section’s monthly dinner meetings
  • Arrange and schedule facility tours
  • Identify, select and arrange half-day and full-day professional development programs
  • Staff the registration desk
  • Take pictures
  • Hand out and collect surveys
  • Welcome attendees and facilitate networking
  • Serve as liaison to the hotel/facility

Public Relations Committee:

  • Obtain and manage advertisements for the Section’s newsletter
  • Promote the Section’s Sponsorship Program
  • Identify and obtain sponsors for the Section’s dinner meetings
  • Publicize Section events
  • Assist in designing, maintaining and managing the Section’s website.

Member Services Committee:

  • Distribute “welcome packages” to new members
  • Contact new members to welcome them and find out how the Section can meet their needs
  • Design, administer and analyze member surveys
  • Help promote and manage the Section’s job posting service.

Education Committee:

  • Identify, select and arrange training programs
  • Serve as an instructor
  • Help publicize the Section’s education programs

Web Site Advisory Committee:

  • Provide input on how web site can be improved, help keep it up-to-date
  • Serve as back up web master

Certification Committee:

  • Serve as a proctor for certification exams
  • Help arrange facilities for certification exams
