We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Engineer-Black Belt located at our Princeton, NJ location.

The Sr. Engineer will be responsible for driving continuous improvement within the corporate and manufacturing environments from initial identification of opportunity through execution of work leading to cost and quality efficiencies.  Must be entrepreneurial in focus and easily lead without authority up, down, and across the organization.


  • Leads Black Belt projects with cross functional teams in manufacturing and corporate environments to deliver financial results and demonstrate the value of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology. These projects are generally a minimum of $500k savings opportunities.
  • Demonstrates practical application of quality and Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies as appropriate to deliver value on new product and cost savings projects.
  • Assists Green Belts (in-training and certified Green Belts) and Black Belts (in-training) for success in execution of projects. Delivers training as directed for deployment of Lean Six Sigma across the company.
  • Communicate successes and benefits using the tools. Tracks and communicates project progress, cost savings, consumer satisfaction, or other appropriate business productivity metrics.
  • Provides oversight, direction, and training to engineers and scientists for appropriate tool application and successful identification and completion of Lean Six Sigma projects.
  • Works with business partners to identify quality and business processes in need of change, develop improvement teams and propose solutions. Define problem and scope of project.
  • Process & Product startup leadership including process validations, cGMP implementation, process safety assurance, etc.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution in science-related field: Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • Certified Black Belt or in-progress to achieve, required
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years in Lean Six Sigma and Process Engineering or similar role.
  • Experience in Manufacturing and R&D beneficial.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Understanding of manufacturing and business systems from work in plant environment
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, training and developing others in Lean Six Sigma skills and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, manages multiple projects, work cross-functionally, and deliver against company business goals and objectives.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%  • Excellent HR, communication, and presentation skills.
